HaOger / The Poetics of Space

Last month, two new solo exhibitions opened in HaMiffal’s gallery —HaOger by Itamar Hammerman and The Poetics of Space by Maya Smira, curated by Doron Galia-Kind. Both exhibitions will continue this month until their closing event on February 19.

Smira, a multidisciplinary artist working in video, photography, performance, and installation, has engaged with the architectural elements of the space—its arches, tiles, windows, and stones—redefining our physical home through photography and digital collage.

Hammerman, a sculptor and installation artist, as well as one of HaMiffal’s founders, has delved into the Sisyphean activity of laundry folding, a routine familiar to us all, and created a world of his own using tons of garments and clothing items.
